Revelation 17-18

Read chapters 15-18 all at once.  (Realize that chapters 17-18 describe the details of the fall of Babylon already announced in Revelation 14:8, and these events are still in the future.  Go back through chapters 17 and 18 and mark all references to woman, harlot, Babylon.  Make a list of the characteristics of this future "Babylon" as found in chapters 17-18.

Revelation 14

Read chapters 13-14 together.  Then, go back and mark any key words in chapter 14 - key words we have seen from past chapters as well as angel and all the synonyms for Babylon, such as great harlot, woman, great city, mother of harlot(s).

Write down the facts you find in the chapter about Babylon.  Add any new facts you find in chapter 14 about the First Beast.

Ask the 5 W/H questions about the 144,000 which you find in Rev. 14:1-5.  What do you learn about them? How are they described?  Where are they?  What are they doing?  Where did they come from?  Then, re-read Revelation 7:1-8.  Are these in Revelation 14 the same as in Rev. 7?  Write down the facts you learn about the 144,000.

Revelation 12

First read Daniel 12.  Then,...when you return to Revelation 12, realize that 12:1-6 summarizes the events which 12:7-17 details.

Read Revelation 11 and 12 together at once.  Please note that the "rest (remnant) of her offspring" in Revelation 12:17 must refer to Jews who are converted, Israelites who come to faith in Jesus Christ. (This will become clearer as we move through the upcoming chapters.)  Also, see Revelation 7:4.

In Revelation 12, mark all the phrases "was thrown down" and "has been thrown down" and notice the references to time in connection with Satan's being thrown down.

In Revelation 12:12, what is the cause of Satan being full of wrath?

Revelation 9

Read Revelation chapters 8-9.  Then, go back through chapter 9 again to mark the key words: those given in class were trumpet(s), blasts, sounded, blew, thunder, lightning, woe, and repent.  What stands out to you in this chapter?

Be prepared to write I John 5:4-5 from memory next Tuesday.

Revelation 1-7

Read Revelation chapters 1-7 straight through in 1 reading.  Don't rush read it, but genuinely read it through at a normal pace.  It should not take you longer than about 30 minutes, so plan at least that much time to read it well.

Health Chapter 15

After reviewing both chapter quizzes and the text, take the chapter test.

Study I John 5:4-5.

Review Total Health chapter 15.

Read Revelation 6; number and record each seal.  Then, at another time, re-read straight through chapters 4-6.

Review I John 5:4-5.

In Total Health, read section 15.2 and complete Quiz B.

Read Revelation chapters 4-5.  Answer the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How questions found in chapter 5.  Meditate on I John 5:4-5.

Spiritual Health

Read Revelation 3.  At another time, read Revelation chapters 1-3 straight through.

Complete Total Health chapter section 15.1 and also do Quiz A.

Health Chapter 14

After studying chapter 14, you may take the Chapter Test.

Complete your memorization of Matthew 22:37-38, being able to write it from memory this Friday in class.

Total Health ~ Read section 14.4 and complete Quiz B.

In your Health text, read section 14.3.  You may also want to review Quiz A for study purposes for advanced preparation for the chapter test.

Re-read Revelation chapters 1-2 at once.  Then later, read Revelation 2.  Study Matthew 22: 37-38.

Remember to quiet yourself before Him who revealed Himself to John at Patmos.  Just be with Him in stillness.  Will you listen to Him?  After you spend time in prayer, meditate on Matthew 22: 37-38.

Revelation 2-3

Read chapters 2-3 straight through.  Write down key words you find in chapter 2.  Remember that key words (or phrases), along with any synonyms, are often those that are repeated.

Write down the following verse on a 3x5 card to study for memorization:

Matthew 22:37-37 - "And He said to him, ' You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the great and foremost commandment.' "

Revelation 1

When finished reviewing Total Health chapter 13, take the chapter test.

Create a drawing of some form to depict the way in which the book of Revelation came about, according to the first chapter of the book.

Read pages 333-338 in the health text chapter 13.  Complete the quiz B questions that coincide with those pages of reading.

Complete the last lesson from page 263 in Experiencing God.  Review all memory verses.  Everyone will be needing a Bible in class for the upcoming study of the Revelation.  You may use the ones in the classroom, but being able to mark in your own Bible may be helpful to you.

Healthy Decision Making and Coming to Know God

Use Chapter 13 Quiz A as a review of section 13-1 in Total Health.

Thoughtfully follow the instructions to complete the spiritual exercise of page 258.  Review all the memory verses, and be prepared to write Hebrews 11:6 from memory in class on Friday.

Social Health

After studying for the chapter 12 test, complete the test!

Review all memory verses.

Total Health - Finish reading chapter 12 from page 315.  Complete Quiz B as a study guide.

Complete chapter 9, day 2 in Experiencing God.  Meditate on the memory verses and use a few of them as a basis for prayer.

Total Health - Complete Quiz A to review the first three sections of chapter 12.

Finish chapter 9, Day 1 in Experiencing God.  Review all memory verses.

Prepare for the chapter 11 test in Total Health.  When you are ready, you may take the test which is due this Friday.

Complete pages 240-242 in the Bible text as a devotional time with God.  Review all memory verses.

Total Dependence

Do pages 230-232 in the Bible study text.  Meditate on and practice all memory verses.

Complete the reading of chapter 11 in Total Health and complete Quiz B.

Obedience Can Be Costly

In your health text, read sections 11.1 and 11.2 and complete quiz A while or after you read.

Social Health

In Total Health, read all of chapter 10 by Tuesday, January 28th.
